The Anantara Resort and Residences on Al Siniya Island introduces the Anantara brand to Umm Al Quwain for the first time. H.H. Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Qaiwain, attended the foundation stone laying ceremony on October 3, 2026.
Other distinguished attendees included H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saud Al Mualla, Deputy Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain; Ravi Menon, Chairman of the Sobha Group; William Heinecke, Founder and Chairman of Minor International; and Francis Alfred, Managing Director and Chief Executive of Sobha Realty. The partnership agreement was formally executed by Sheikh Mansour Al Mualla, board member, alongside Francis Alfred for Sobha Al Siniya Island, whilst Amir Golberg, Chief Operating Officer for the Middle East and Africa at Minor Hotels, signed on behalf of the hotel group.
The project results from a strategic partnership between Sobha Realty and Umm Al Qaiwain Properties, developed through Sobha Al Siniya LLC, with Minor Hotels operating the resort under the Anantara brand. The development will deliver 125 hotel rooms alongside 125 Anantara-branded residences, with completion scheduled for 2030.
