This leads to creating clutter. If you are attempting to upgrade your home, if it’s disorganised, it wouldn’t make a lot of difference to its look and appeal.
Some people find it hard to organise their home due to their busy schedule. No matter what your reasons are, here are some easy-to-implement and quick home organisation tips that will help you tidy up your place in no time.
Home organisation can be a time-taking process. So, always start with making a list. Note down all the chores that you have to complete in order to organise your home, and prioritise those that need urgent attention. Tick each task you will have completed. This will give you a direction to follow and keep you motivated as well.
We understand that you want to organise your entire home. It is recommended to start with one room at a time. Once you are done with it, move to the other room, and so on. While you’re organising a room, make sure to include the bathroom and other adjoining areas, such as storage room, balcony, etc., into the home organisation project.
After you have selected a room organising it, start with the closet. This is where you will find the maximum clutter. Maybe the stuff you had forgotten about!
Take out all the stuff; it sure feels like a major chore, but it’s necessary if you want your place to be organised. Once you have taken them out, divide them into different piles; “keep”, “donate”, and “dispose of”. Only keep outfits and accessories in the “keep” pile that you actually intend to use. If there’s an iota of doubt, there are high chances that you won’t be using it again. So, donating it will be a better option.
After you have segregated all the stuff, place the things from the “keep” pile back into the closet, but in a very organised and systematic manner. Hang the office wear separately, while daily use clothes can be placed in different compartments of the closet. Store your accessories the same way. The ones that are more suitable for functions and events must be packed carefully in a separate container. The daily-life jewellery items and other accessories can be stored in a drawer that’s easily accessible.
Do not let the “donation” and “dispose of” pile linger around for longer. They will ultimately add to the clutter of your home. So, as soon as you are done with the home organisation project, make sure they reach their designated places at the earliest.
Take a look around your home, and you will notice that a lot of the clutter is caused by wires and cables. There’s a separate charger for every device, be it your smartphone, tablet, laptop, power bank, etc.
To tackle this issue, make a separate charging station in your home and organise all your devices and chargers in this designated place. It shouldn’t be accessible to kids as wires pose a risk for them.
Making home organisation a family project will not only make things quicker and easier, but it will also help to keep your kids engaged and, most importantly, away from their tech devices for some time. Furthermore, it will instil the habit of cleaning and organisation in them from an early age and make them more responsible.
Assign each kid individual tasks and reward them when they have completed their set of chores. It will keep them motivated, and they will look forward to such ‘adventures’ instead of running away from them.
By donating, you are not only contributing to the betterment of society but making your home more “liveable” and more organised as well. It is recommended to have a donation bag in your home where you can place donate-worthy items from time to time. Once this bag is filled, donate it to your nearby charity or any other cause you support.
Trendy towel racks not only exude modernism but come in very handy for organising the kitchen as well. So, it can be considered both a home décor improvement and organisation tip. By hanging them in strategic places in your kitchen, you will be able to reduce the clutter. Furthermore, accessing daily-use items will become easier as well. This will also free up space in your kitchen cabinets
